Susan Collingbourne is an author of children's books. A teacher of English Language and Literature for over thirty years, Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts (Monash) Diploma of Education (Monash), a Professional Diploma of Children's Writing , Master of Letters (Creative Writing) and Royal Society of Arts Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language(Cambridge).

Susan was born in England and spent her childhood there, migrating to Australia when she was in her early twenties. Now she has dual citizenship. In her new country she found opportunities that were not available to her before. She won a scholarship to study at university and train as a teacher.

Susan was a classroom teacher for over thirty years, mostly in Victoria but also in Queensland and Thailand. She went to Thailand as an Australian Volunteer and spent two rewarding and enriching years there.

Susan went back to England and taught in a very challenging school in London. It was difficult, but in the end she won over the hearts of the kids to whom she had been tutor and English teacher for three years. They showed their appreciation in the fabulous and amazing way kids do. The surprise breakfast party they organized, with flowers, many gifts and best of all an album full of photos of each student complete with personal comments was the kind of unexpected thing that make children so wonderful. It is a treasure that brought tears of happiness and will never be forgotten.

Susan still enjoys teaching at her local primary school. She is also available to visit other schools by appointment.

Susan lives on the Great Ocean Road, Victoria with her husband and three dogs. She is a mother of six and grandparent of sixteen. "My Grandma's a Witch" is Susan's debut novel and the first of the Priority Purple Series. Fans, young and old, will relieved to know that book two will soon be released. She has also written Mojo the Magic Cat, a humorous book about a "Cat with Attitude". Cat lovers will adore Mojo. Watch this space for publication details.
